To Whom It May Concern:

As Practice Administrator of a physician’s medical practice, I believe in physical fitness and proper nutrition.  If you are considering Halls of Fitness for a wellness program in your company, then I don’t have to document the benefits of exercise and diet in our lives.  You already know the impact wellness programs have on productivity, absenteeism due to illness, morale, cost of health benefits.

In 2004, our group chose to self-insure for our health insurance.  Our premium costs were rising at higher than industry averages, but we did not want to shift more cost to employees.

During the next year, the physicians and I discussed the benefits of a wellness program, and we surveyed our employees for interest and baseline data.  None of our 75 employees were exercising on a regular basis, and 80% of our employees were obese.  Health claims data indicated that 60% of our employees were suffering from illnesses for which exercise and diet would provide immediate benefits.  We determined that a wellness program would be a worthwhile addition to our employee benefits package.

Several local trainers were interviewed about implementing a wellness program in our office, and we selected Halls of Fitness for several reasons.  They were clearly the most dedicated and passionate about overall wellness.  Their enthusiasm was contagious.     Clayton and Susan were willing to spend countless hours in our office interviewing employees one-on-one and educating them about all aspects of wellness.  Their proposal included a wellness board and lunch presentations on proper diet and exercise.  They were the only trainers who proposed those services, and we knew their personalities would fit in well with our team.

We introduced our program in 2006, and employee response was overwhelmingly positive.  Clayton and Susan worked well with everyone, and employees were comfortable talking confidentially about their wellness goals.  Employees believe that our wellness program is the best benefit we offer, and they believe the program demonstrates our commitment to them and their overall well-being.

Clayton and Susan developed an effective exercise program that works in our office.  We do not have a fitness center and have to use our waiting rooms after hours.  It is amazing the progress that can be made with balls, bands, steps and their ingenuity.

Since our program is new, we do not have systems in place to track important statistics such as absenteeism rates and health claims costs before and after implementation.  However, we are committed to its continuing with Clayton and Susan because we’ve realized significant benefits already.  We are certain that our data will indicate that the program has had a positive impact in those areas.

In four months, our employees experienced an average decrease in bodyfat of 4% and an average weight loss of 11 pounds each.  An average of 9 total inches per employee was lost during the first four months.  Cardiovascular improvements were made with an average 1.5 minutes decrease in time it took to run one mile.  Flexibility improved by 2 inches on average per participant.  Other goals included monitoring cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass index.  75% of our participants had decreases in each of these areas.

The physicians and I are proud to offer the wellness program to our employees, and we are very pleased that we selected Halls of Fitness for our group.  Clayton and Susan are a positive influence in our office, and we highly recommend them to anyone interested in wellness programs.

We are so enthusiastic about what they have done for us, that we are more than happy to discuss our program with anyone interested.  You will not be sorry for choosing Halls of Fitness.  Good luck with your search.

Sincerely,

After many years of not exercising, we were all a little apprehensive starting a new exercise program.  Our initial consultations with Clayton and Susan, set aside many of our worries.  They are two wonderful motivators and mentors.  They have shown us how to make lifestyle changes instead of short- term goals.  They understand everyone’s limits and push you to your limit, not to the limit of everyone else in the class.

We have seen wonderful results not only as individuals, but also as a group.  The idea of not having to go to a gym to get a great work out is a great way to keep us active.  There’s no getting in the car at the end of the day and having the option to change your mind.  You know you will have other people you know working out and motivating each other.

At the end of the day it is a great stress reliever, and we have employees that never really spent time together forming new friendships and relationships that carry over from the work- outs to the workplace.  We get to see each other in a more relaxed atmosphere and it breaks down some of the serious workplace personalities that we normally see.

Overall the program has bee a wonderful experience.  When I tell my friends that we work out at work, and we have trainers come to us, they are so jealous!  I would strongly recommend their program to anyone.  I enjoy working out with them and seeing great results!

Sincerely,

With my age being 60 , my joints were getting stiffer each year.  I did not take time to exercise and therefore each year my weight was increasing.

Since starting the wellness program 7 weeks ago I feel much better.  I have more energy and stamina and I have lost weight and inches!

Because the program is provided at my work place it makes it much easier to attend.

Clayton and Susan are great!!

We started exercising the latter part of January and now we here in April I have lost 10 lbs.  I have stuck with the program mostly because we exercise at work.  This keeps me on track.  In addition to the weight loss, I fell and look a whole lot better.  The trainers are great to work with.  I thank the Urology Center for bringing them to us.  They make work out time fun, so we keep coming back.

Participating in our wellness program is proving to be worthwhile.  Routinely, I have exercised on a regular basis.  My philosophy being, if I exercise daily I can eat mostly any food I desire.  This theory worked in my younger days, but age is starting to prove it incorrect.

Clayton and Susan not only are providing excellent workout sessions, but are also providing good information for a more nutritional diet.  Through their encouragement, my eating habits are shifting towards more fruits and vegetables, less fats and more fiber.  Results are being seen with easier pant fastening and lower scale readings.
